IMPROVING SPOKEN ENGLISH MARCH 21, 2008 9:00 - 11:00 MASUR AUDITORIUM
The OITE is pleased to offer "Improving Spoken English", a communications seminar designed for non-native English speaking scientists. The curriculum covers scientific vocabulary, diction, voice production, tempo, and general guidelines for speaking before a group.
At the seminar, you will have the opportunity to sign up for a small group workshop to practice your spoken English. These workshops will consist of 2 2-hour sessions that offer interactive exercises and peer review.
The seminar will be taught by Scott Morgan who has been teaching science communication at NIH for over 12 years; the workshops will be facilitated by trained NIH staff. The seminar and small group workshops will be offered on other NIH campuses in the near future.
