Registrations for the Spring Research Festival are now being accepted. This annual event allows current NIH Postbaccalaureate trainees the opportunity to showcase their research. This event will be held in conjunction with the vendor equipment show on parking lot 10-H.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Spring Research Festival Featuring Poster Presentations by Q. Do I need to submit an abstract to participate? A: No, at the time of registration you will only need to submit a generic title that you have discussed with your mentor prior to registration. Q: What is The Spring Research Festival? A: The Spring Research Festival is a scientific meeting that provides an opportunity for individuals who are current postbaccalaureate trainees to share their work with the NIH community. Q: When and where does it take place? A: The Spring Research Festival is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, May 7-8, 2008 and will be held on parking lot 10-H next to Building 10. Postbaccalaureate trainees will present their posters on May 7, 2008. Q: Who can participate in the Spring Research Festival? A: Any student who is currently working as a Postbaccalaureate IRTA in a NIH laboratory. To participate you must be in attendance and plan to spend the entire session at your poster. Q: Is a Pre-IRTA the same as a Post-Baccalaureate IRTA? A: No, Pre-IRTA¹s are students who are currently enrolled in a graduate degree program and conducting their dissertation research at the NIH. A Post-Baccalaureate IRTA is an individual who has recently graduated from a Bachelor¹s degree program and has decided to take a year off before matriculating to the next level. Q: How can I register to participate in the Post Baccalaureate Research Festival? A: Register electronically at http://www.training.nih.gov/onlineApps/PosterDay/application/PosterDay.asp Q: When is the deadline for applying? A: The application deadline is Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. EDT. Q: When will I find out if I have been accepted to participate in the Spring Research Festival? A: You will be notified by email by at least April 13, 2008. Q: To whom should questions be directed?
