NIHVFC invites all NIH fellows to participate in the 5th International Opportunities Expo to be held Thursday, May 15th, 2008 at the Natcher Conference Center from 11am to 4am.

Also join us for the workshop on April 29th, to know what to expect from the day (and what not to expect). Gather helpful networking tips to ensure that your time at the expo is well spent. No matter what your trainee status at the NIH, please plan on joining us for an informational workshop on how to get the most out of the Expo.

The Expo provides a great opportunity for fellows to obtain information on research, grants and job opportunities available overseas and in their respective home countries. ? Fellows will be able to network and establish valuable contacts for the next step forward in their scientific career. The following countries will be represented at the expo: Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, China, Hungary, Poland, Brazil, Germany, Japan, India, Korea, Netherlands, Taipei and Canada. ?(For a detailed list please see the attached document)

Featured Plenary Speaker
The Featured Plenary Speaker is Dr. Steven Buchsbaum, Senior Technology Strategy Officer for Global Health Discoveries at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.? Dr. Buchsbaum?s presentation will include an introduction to the Gates Foundation and the Global Health mission, as well as a description of?the new $100M funding opportunity for innovative ideas.
The presentation is from 11 am ? noon in Natcher?s main auditorium.?
