This workshop is designed to be an informative resource on writing a successful proposal of your graduate thesis research. Workshop: Writing a Thesis Proposal
Description: Are you a Ph.D. Student getting ready to write your dissertation proposal? If you are asking yourself these questions; "Where do I start?"; "How much background do I put in?"; "How many specific aims should I include?"; "Do I need preliminary data?"; and “What is my committee really looking for?”, then you are probably wondering what it takes to write a good thesis proposal. In this workshop, Dr. Sharon Milgram, who has over 15 years mentoring graduate students, will discuss the dos and don'ts of writing a great research proposal. The target audience is graduate students who are preparing their dissertation proposals or postbacs who will be attending graduate school in the fall.
