Have you been working in an NIH lab for at least one year? Do you have an outstanding mentor you'd like to honor? The perfect place to honor your mentor is at the 6th Annual NIH Graduate Student Research Symposium on November 11th, 2009. The relationship between a graduate student and their mentor is a very important part of graduate student training. Two outstanding graduate student mentors will be honored at the Symposium Awards Ceremony.
To nominate your mentor please submit a 1-2 page essay highlighting why your mentor should receive this honor. Please include some specific examples of their stellar mentorship. Submit the essay by 5pm on October 2nd to GSCcochair@od.nih.gov <mailto:GSCcochair@od.nih.gov> . If your mentor is chosen for the award, you and your mentor will be notified by October 8th.
