APPLICATION DEADLINES – GPP APPLICATION
GPP application deadlines for Fall 2010 application cycle are listed below.  Review this information carefully.  Your GPP application must be completed by the specified deadline for you to be considered for admission.  If you select multiple partnerships from the following list with different deadlines, your application must be complete by the earliest deadline.

*Some university applications have an earlier application deadline than the GPP; check the university webpage for details.

APPLICATIONS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION CONSIDERATION
Students wishing to enroll in an NIH-University partnership (Institutional Partnership) must complete BOTH the GPP and the University Application by their respective deadlines for all partnership universities except for those noted below.

Only the GPP application is required for admission consideration for the following partnership universities (matriculants will submit their university application in late spring).

  • Johns Hopkins University – Cell, Molecular, Developmental Biology and Biophysics
  • Karolinska Institutet – Neuroscience
  • University College London – Neuroscience
  • University of Cambridge – Biomedical Sciences
  • University of Oxford – Biomedical Sciences

Only a university application is required for admission consideration (a GPP application is NOT required) for University of Pennsylvania – Immunology.

GPP APPLICATION COMPONENTS
Part-A – Complete this Form First.
This portion of the GPP application collects your contact information, education history, standardized examination scores, references, and partnership selection.  Some partnerships require additional information; review the partnership descriptions for guidance.

Partnership Selection
The GPP has many NIH-University Institutional Partnerships.  A complete list and description of these partnerships is available through the links provided above.  If you have any questions or concerns about identifying which partnership(s) best match your education and career goals contact the GPP or any of the partnership directors for assistance.  You may apply to up to three partnerships.

Part-B – Access Requires Password Generated from Part-A.
This portion of the GPP application collects your scientific discipline/research interests, research experience, publications, presentations, awards/honors, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and any additional information you wish to provide.  In addition, you will need to upload PDF files of your transcripts and standardized examination scores within this section.

APPLICATION FEE
There is no application fee for the GPP application. University partners may have an application fee.

CORRESPONDENCE
Questions about the overall GPP and technical issues about the application system should be directed to gpp@nih.gov.  Questions about the specific partnerships should be directed to the specific partnership directors (see above PDF files for contacts).
